Pear Drops by Halo
Another confectionery based E-liquid review this week, this one is Pear Drops by Halo Vapour Co. Halo are own brand of popular Vape Shop; E-cigarette Direct who are based in Swansea, UK. They have 20 shops nationwide and a well stocked website for mail orders. Their website sells a great range of E-liquids to a good selection of vaping hardware and accessories. Halo Vapour co has a good reputation for the quality of E-liquid and has a large amount of flavours in the range.
Halo’s Pear Drops is supplied in a 10ml bottle inside a small box. The box has printed warnings, ingredients and contact info, alongside the Halo heading and flavour title. There is a sheet folded inside the box that includes more warnings and E-liquid instructions. The 10ml bottle is TPD compliant and has a large tamper-proof child safety screw cap. A Black label wraps the bottle with printed ‘Halo Vapour Co’ title and flavour name. There is also printed warnings, ingredients, contact info and the E-liquids Nicotine strength. The bottle is in tough plastic, but quite easy to squeeze juice through the nozzle. There is different Nicotine strengths of Halo Pear Drops available on the E-cigarette Direct website in zero, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg and 18mg. Base mix is 50PG/50VG so is good for mouth-to-lung set-ups that are fussy on wicking thicker juice.
The flavour profile of Pear Drops would be pretty much self explanatory if you’ve had the sweets, but it’s described on the E-cigarette Direct website as knee deep in nostalgia and perfectly delicious, Halo Pear Drops E-Liquid may be even better than the real thing! The soft fruity sweetness ‘peared’ with that familiar sherbet tang will keep you going back to till it’s all gone… Just don’t get caught with your hand in the jar! On smelling from the bottle, it’s simply a strong scent of ‘Pear Drops’ sweets! There’s a big Sherbet sweet Pear scent.

On the vape, it is so true to taste of the Pear Drops sweets. It’s not like a fresh Pear fruit but more a confectionery sweet Pear taste. It could be down to the sweet sugar Sherbet that sits alongside the flavouring, giving this much more of a confectionery taste. This is quite a sweet juice, so if you like your E-liquids sweet and full of flavour, this fits that bill. There isn’t any synthetic taste and it does leave a good sweet Pear aftertaste. There is quite a strong throat hit, but that’s using 50PG in a dripper, and would suit much better to a tank. It’s a really good juice and if you’re a fan of Pear Drops sweets, this is a must buy as it’s such an authentic Pear Drops taste.
My score: 8.5/10 – A nice sweet vape of the Pear Drops sweets in an E-liquid!
